Buffalo (Batavia) Service Processing Center
Buffalo (Batavia) Service Processing Center is an ICE civil immigration detention facility located in Batavia, New York. It houses adults detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) while removal proceedings, custody reviews, bond hearings, appeals, or other immigration matters are pending. The facility is owned by ICE and operated under contract by Akima Global Services. For families and attorneys traveling to the facility, the nearest major airports are Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) and Buffalo Niagara International Airport (BUF), each followed by approximately a 40–45 minute drive to Batavia.
Because detained individuals may be transferred without notice and deadlines in immigration detention cases are often short, early legal review is important. Family members and friends may visit detainees during designated visiting hours established by the facility. All visitors must present valid government-issued photo identification and comply with applicable security procedures and visitation rules.
